Details

This recently restored detached house, which is on three levels, is located at the head of the Cordwell Valley in the delightful rural hamlet of Moor Hall and is accessed down a short country lane from where you can enjoy some outstanding panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and walks from the door step.
The house features a luxurious fully equipped kitchen, a beautiful dining room and an “l” shaped beamed lounge with a log burning stove. Over the three floors of the house are 7 bedrooms which feature a mixture of double and twin bedrooms, many of which have their own en suite bathrooms.
Outside is a hard standing area which has parking for 15 cars alongside substantial private lawned grounds with stunning views out onto the peak district countryside. The property is incredibly secure making it ideal for families with young children.
Acorn House is within easy reach of notable Peak District attractions such as Chatsworth House, home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, the historic Haddon and Hardwick Halls and the famous villages of Eyam and Castleton. The house is just minutes away from some of the most striking scenery of the dark peak for walking and climbing enthusiasts.
The house is also in an ideal location convenient for junction 29 of the M1 and central to all major communication systems as a venue for family and group reunions.

By road:
From the north east, south and east, travellers should head from Junction 29 of the M1 and travel west to Chesterfield and join the A619 to Baslow.
From the north west and west, travellers should head for Stockport following the A6 to Chapel En Le Frith, joining the A623 at Sparrowpit and onto Baslow. (If you follow a Sat Nav it will take you over the Snake Pass probably to Sheffield and ultimately too far North.)
From the south west either head north east joining the m1 south of junction 29 or head due north to Buxton and then join the A6 and then onto the A619 to Baslow (via Bakewell) or the A6 then A623 to Baslow (via Sparrowpit).
All parties travelling to Acorn House should head for the village of Baslow. Specifically the large roundabout at the intersection of the A619 Manchester/ Chesterfield Road and the A621 Sheffield road. This sits on the east side of Baslow almost adjacent to the Golden Gates entrance to Chatsworth House. When reaching this roundabout, head north and join the A621 signposted to Sheffield. Follow this road for approximately 1.5 miles and then bear off to your right at a sign showing Shillito Woods, Barlow and Millthorpe (Fox Lane). Follow Fox Lane until you arrive at a junction marked Barlow to your right with signs to Shillito Woods Carpark and Millthorpe ahead. Take the right turn to Barlow along far lane until you reach buildings marked Kestrel Stone on your right.
Continue for another 50 yds past a large yellow grit bin on your left when you will see a sign “Moorhall Farm” a further 10 yds. Follow the track to Moorhall Farm on your left for some 50 yds and finally turn right into the drive of Acorn House.
