A fabulous single storey 2 bedroomed, 2 bathroomed barn, finished to a very high standard and retaining many of the original features, including king post trusses and exposed stonework. Ideally placed at the gateway to the Peak District - with Chatworth only circa 4 miles away, yet also convenient for the the City of Sheffield, with its theatres, excellent sports and recreational facilities, restaurants and shopping.
Barn accommodation:
Delightful lounge with an inviting wood burning stove and large picture window looking out onto the cobbled courtyard. The double aspect dining kitchen has oak units with electric hob and oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and microwave. The table by the window seats four.

There are two excellent double en-suite bedrooms: the first with a king-size bed and bathroom with a Victorian roll-top bath with shower over, wash basin and toilet; the second has single beds and bathroom with walk-in shower, hand basin and toilet. Both bedrooms and lounge have flat screen TV's, with DVD and CD in the lounge.

Fabrics, furnishings and fittings have been carefully co-ordinated throughout. The barn has under floor heating and limestone effect solid floors, complemented by occasional rugs.

To the outside, the barn has its own private courtyard at the front with table and chairs and southerly aspect. Alternatively, take a short walk to your own separate seating area where you can enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside or just go for a stroll in the 30 plus acres of the estate and enjoy watching the horses. At dusk you may be fortunate enough to see badgers, foxes or owls.

There is private parking for several cars and good walking straight from your doorstep .

The barn is on the outskirts of the small Derbyshire village of Holmesfield with its historic church and several pubs serving good food all within circa. 1 mile. This barn is ideally placed at the gateway to the Peak District National Park, with the historic country houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall and their parklands only a short drive away. It is also within easy reach of the market towns of Bakewell and Chesterfield (the latter with its famous crooked spire) plus the delightful village of Baslow. All have a host of excellent shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants (at least one with a Michelin star!)

For lovers of the outdoors, the area has everything from walking to cycling, climbing, fishing, horse-riding, caving and much more! Miles of cycle trails can be explored on foot or bicycle (cycle hire available locally).

The White Peak is within easy reach, as are the caves of Castleton (home of the 'Mighty Titan' - the largest cave in the United Kingdom), the cable cars of Matlock, the thrills of Alton towers and the tranquillity and breath-taking scenery surrounding the Derwent Dams where the famous 617 Dambusters' squadron practised the dams' raids (still commemorated with annual fly-past).

Meadowhall, one of the largest shopping centres in the country, is within half an hour drive, as are the theatres, sports facilities, restaurants and other attractions of Sheffield city centre.
