Opened in 1983, Thrybergh Country Park incorporates the reservoirs of Thrybergh and nearby Firsby. They were built between 1876 and 1880 to provide water for the Doncaster area.

The Park won a Green Flag Award in 2006 and is a haven for wildlife with 170 species of wildflower and plants, 155 species of birds and 20 species of mammals in the area. There are 2 bird hides at Thrybergh which are open to the public all year round.

Situated close to the M1, A1(M) and M18 motorways the park is very accessible.

There are various organised events and activites all year round including walks and bird watching and educational visits for schools. Fly fishing is only permitted between march and October. The park is also home to 'Float Tubing' a fun and effective way to fish, which you can do with your own float tube or hire one from the visitors centre.

A visitor centre offers souveniers, fishing tackle and a lakeside cafe where you can enjoy the homemade food. There is also a children's playground.

The park also has a campsite and caravan park.
