The Skate Central roller skating arena is located in the steel City of Sheffield and opened its doors to the public in the summer of 2005.

The premises were formally the home of the "Silver Blades" ice rink which operated in the City from 1968 to 2005.

Skate Central hosts weekly public roller skating sessions, children's birthday parties, roller hockey leagues and regularly hosts music concerts and amateur boxing events.

Take junction 33 of the M1 (Sheffield City Centre), at roundabout take third exit (A61 Chesterfield), pass railway station on the left, follow A61 for approx 1 mile and Skate Central is located in the large white building above the new "G" Casino, turn left at the traffic lights and left again into the large public pay & display car park.

If you reach the B & Q warehouse, you have gone 25 metres too far
