Renishaw Hall

Renishaw Hall

Nr Sheffield,
S21 3WB

Owned by the Sitwell Family the Hall has a beautiful 300-acre park containing eight acres of the most important Italianate gardens in England, and a house full of treasures large and small collected over many centuries.

The house is open by guided tour every Friday in the season at 1.00pm and 2.30pm and weekends during August. For group tours the hall is open by appointment.

Renishaw Hall Gardens make an excellent day out for families as well as garden, history and art enthusiasts.

Renishaw Hall is famous for its classical Italianate gardens, woodlands and wider park which were designed and laid out at the end of the 19th century by Sir George Sitwell, great grandfather of current owner Alexandra.

The gardens offer a tranquil place to visit for the day, or relax in for a few hours.

Renishaw Hall has a unique mix of grandeur meets family home, a tour of the hall is a fascinating opportunity to see where generations of the Sitwell family have lived, entertained and created.

The Cafe at Renishaw serves homemade food that is fresh and delicious. Renishaw Hall's award winning wine is grown on the estate and is available in the café.

Visit the fascinating Sitwell Museum with changing exhibitions each season.

Rex Whistler, one of the many artists sponsored and patronised by the Sitwells at the beginning of the century, called it "the most exciting place I know".
