Set in acres of gardens, the house commands stunning views over the surrounding countryside of the moss valley conservation area. Inside you will be cosseted in a calming ambience of fine fabrics, Persian carpets, original paintings and in the winter time a blazing log fire. Whether you visit for business entertaining or private dining, the focus of the experience and The Old Vicarage is the remarkable and innovative cooking by Chef Tessa Bramley. One of the handful of UK restaurants to hold a coveted Michelin Star.
Tessa Bramley's cooking is grounded in nature and evocative of the seasons. Tessa is a Fellow of the Institute of Master Chefs of Great Britain. Her innovative modern style, which mixes British and Mediterranean influences with those from further afield, has earned her recognition from all the major food guides. She is a country cook whose work revolves around her garden. Like all country gardens, it not only delights the eye, but also adds to the larder. All of the fresh produce used in Tessa's kitchens at The Old Vicarage is grown in the Vicarage Kitchen Gardens or comes from the nearby farms.
We specialise in small, exclusive wedding parties tailored to your exact requirements. When you book your wedding at The Old Vicarage you will have the whole house to yourselves - your own private country house party! The Old Vicarage is licensed for civil marriage ceremonies for up to 60. The Marriage Registrar is able to help you plan an individual ceremony and we also offer you the facility to design your own format and ceremony content - arriving at a ceremony unique to you and your partner.

From the M2 J33/ Follow signs for Sheffield Centre. Take the A61 9Sheffield Ring rd) towards Chesterfield. For straight over the roundabout at the top of the hill (still on the A61) At the top of the next hill at the traffic light, turn left onto the B6388 (Signposted Crystal Peaks and Mosborough) In two miles this brings you into Ridgeway, turn right after Phoenix pub) through the main street of the village.
