Barkers Park is a popular green space and well used by all ages. Covering almost 15 hectares of land the site was once rolling farmland. Today the land is laid out as an attractive park and recreation ground. It is the hub of its local community and provides a perfect setting for meandering walks and passive recreation. Situated adjacent to Redscope Plantation and to the nearby Bray Plantation and Scholes Coppice a number of local walks can be enjoyed with a variety of surroundings.

In recent years the Friends group have been able seek funding for a new play area and Multi Use Games Area for football, cricket and basketball. An attractive Rose Garden and seating area has now been completed and provides a relaxing place in a well used park.
