Meersbrook Park covers approximately 17.845 hectares. It is a typical municipal park, well known for commanding views over the city. With a large amount of mature woodlands, incorporating woodland walks, the park was originally the grounds to Meersbrook Hall. Following acquisition in 1886 the park provided much needed breathing and recreational space in a rapidly expanding part of town.
